WSTiJO at a glance – About WSTiJO

WSTiJO – the Higher School of Tourism and Foreign Languages - chartered by the Minister of National Education and Sport, entered with number 141 in the Register of Non-Public Higher Education Institutions, draws largely from the experience of a variety of educational projects and is extension of the mission carried by the 2-year Private College of Tourism and Management in Warsaw, a school licensed to provide education to the public.

Our achievements so far:

We have research links with universities, organizations and institutes in Poland (e.g. the Institute of Tourism) and abroad (Carnegie College in Scotland, Goethe Institute in Ankara, Turkey and Berlin City Council) – that adds extra edge to academic position of our school. We are part in student exchange programmes under the European educational umbrella (Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus, Pilotprojekt Trialog). We run professional qualifications training courses such as ECDL (IT and microcomputer usage areas, website design, designing applications for tourism business), or courses for tour leader candidates. We organise study tours and bonding events, and attend tourism business fairs (domestic and international), whereby our students acquire knowledge and experience of working in the industry.

For our students we provide:

- adventure camps, special interest tours and exploratory trips
- job service, internships and placements
- extra-curricular classes and knowledge clubs (History of Art and Architecture, geography, adventure and special interest tourism)
- foreign language conversation groups
- training in sports such as shooting, sailing or swimming
- practical training at travel offices and hotels in Warsaw (about 100 placements)
- paid practical training abroad (Greek islands, Ireland, France, the USA, the UK)
- dedicated library open weekdays, Saturdays and designated Sundays
